Navigating the future with Confidence
Last week, our future leaders joined other like-minded people at NAWIC’s event, “Navigating Your Career with Confidence: A Practical Roadmap”, focused on career growth and unlocking potential in our industry.
We heard from Sianne Bennett, winner of the 2024 NAWIC NSW Awards for Excellence Businesswoman of the Year, and from Leadership Coach, Rebecca Bangura.
Here are a few highlights from the evening that resonated with us:
Mindset matters: We explored how we are naturally wired for comfort and efficiency, and how understanding our brain’s “hidden operating system” can help us break through barriers and make confident career moves.
The power of networks: Building genuine, strategic relationships, beyond our immediate teams, creates new opportunities and drives professional growth.
Designing your own path: We were encouraged to boldly envision our future, break big goals into actionable steps, and surround ourselves with a diverse “personal advisory board” to challenge and support us along the way.
