SYDNEY CHINESE NEW YEAR 6th February – 21st February In 2016 — as the City of Sydney’s Chinese New Year Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary — the festival will offer up brand new ways to experience our city’s rich cultural heritage. For the first time, the Sydney CBD will light up with giant Lunar Lanterns representing signs of the Chinesezodiac. It’s a fitting way to ring in the Year of the Monkey, with people born under this sign said to be fun-loving, inventive and curious. DISOBEDIENT OBJECTS 31st October 2015 – 14th February 2016 Disobedient Objects is an exhibition of art and design. The objects on show were not made by commercial artists and designers, but by people collectively taking design into their own hands to make a change in the world.
