Mirvac Completes ‘Groundscraper’
Davenport Campbell are excited to see the progress being made on Mirvac’s new workplace in South Eveleigh, as they complete the ‘Groundscraper’.
Mirvac, along with consortium partners AMP Capital and Sunsuper, has completed its third building at Sydney’s South Eveleigh technology hub, formerly known as the Australian Technology Park.
The ASX-listed developer's latest completion, The Foundry, will now welcome the technology teams and innovation labs of anchor tenant Commonwealth Bank.
Mirvac has dubbed the new 55,000sq m commercial building, Australia’s first “groundscraper”, due to its low-lying six-storey height and sprawling 9,000sq m floorplates.
The interior of the building includes large open “hackable spaces” - where barriers to collaboration can be removed - as well as quiet retreat zones for concentrative work.
