supporting himalaya day 2025

This week, our DC team joined the Australian Himalayan Foundation (AHF) to celebrate Himalaya Day - a night dedicated to honouring the spirit of the Himalaya and the communities who call it home.

We were especially proud to see our Principal, Neill Johanson, take the stage as a guest speaker. Neill shared his personal journey as an architect, mountaineer, and survivor of the 2015 Nepal earthquake, reflecting on lessons of resilience, community, and the power of giving back. His story is a reminder of the impact that thoughtful design and collaboration can have, both in the Himalayas and in our own work at Davenport Campbell.

The celebration, held at Don’t Tell Aunty in Sydney, was brought to life with delicious food and a cultural dance performance by Nepali woman, Pabitra Adhikari. Thank you to the AHF for leading such an inspiring evening and for your ongoing commitment to the region. We’re proud to support your mission and to champion human-centric design that uplifts communities everywhere.
