CANBERRA CELEBRATES MOUNT EVEREST SUMMITEERS

On International Mountaineering Day the Ambassador for Nepal recognised 37 Australians that summited Mount Everest, including our own Neill Johanson.

The breathtaking snow-capped Himalayas are the highest mountain ranges in the world. Mountain climbers are drawn to Nepal for its natural beauty and physical challenges as well as an opportunity to engage with different charity and non-profit organisations to support the Nepalese community.

The Nepalese Embassy in Canberra have celebrated International Mountain Day by organising a 'Mt Everest Summiteers' Felicitation Program' in coordination with the Australian Himalayan Foundation.

For summiting the highest mountain of the world, our own Neill Johanson was among the 37 Australian Mount Everest climbers felicitated with a Letter of Recognition, Nepali Khada and Nepal Flag-pin for their record setting climbs.
